Last time we went on
group tour was in 2006. Five of us (Myself, Amit, Vaibhav, Kishor & Vivek)
are really looking for this weekend break, as we have been busy all these years
in work life, family life, me and Vaibhav was outstation for few years. Vaibhav
was in country for month so we planned this one. There was confusion on
location of weekend break but finally all agreed on Alibaug. Initially we
decided to go Khim beach near alibaug but Vaibhav mentioned this Wonderful
place Prakruti Resort in Kashid, about 40 Kms ahead of Alibaug. It was
cool morning of November month I left around 7 in morning pickup Vaibhav other
friends and we started our journey from Bhiwandi. Kashid beach is around 130
kms from Bhiwandi. We didn’t felt like we are travelling, as we have been
catching up all old things of college life, listening to songs, and cracking
jokes about the old mates, teachers and all. Soon after scenery of early
morning New Mumbai city we get into this beautiful road of Karnala Forest.
There was forest on both sides of the roads with thickly dense
trees, hills and lots fresh air. Most of us didn’t had breakfast when left the
home, so we decided to stop for break. We came across this restaurant Nisarg.
We had good heavy breakfast; the food was ok bit of oily stuff. We kicked
further journey to Kashid beach. As we were going further on Kashid Beach road,
we started experiencing the beauty, peace of nature. Lush green land, lots of
lots of beetle nuts tree, coconut trees, peace, Ahhh!!!. We just went
silence and got lost. The roads was single lane but was surrounded by lush
green forest of Karnal Nature Park. Further in our journey we came across
beautiful landscape of pen creek, JSW Ispat plant. It was noon time and we were
not feeling it like one, we shut car air conditioning and kept car windows
open. Just around lunch time we reached in this small town called
Revdanda. Revdanda is historical town located on south side of alibaug. This
town is full of wadis of Coconunt trees and beetles trees. As we pass through
town we came across this old archway built in stone, it kind of big entrance gate
in that time.
After passing Revdanda,
remaining road was coastal road. We were hungry but glimpse of sea and
atmosphere kept us more energetic till we reached Prakruti resort. Finally we
reached the resort around 1.30 pm in afternoon. Entrance of resort is very good
with huge gate and lot of trees.
We selected the cottage
of 4 bedrooms with attached toilets. Environment of resort of amazing, it was
situated on hills, with lots of trees all over. They use golf car for
travelling inside resort. After checking out our cottage we got fresh and went
to restaurant area for lunch. It was good veg/non veg buffet with lots food
variety. After lunch we came to back to cottage and relaxed for hours before
heading up for beach which was just across the road from the resort. Surprisingly
they had bullock cart for transporting people to beach from resort. It was
unique experience. Kashid beach is one the finest beach in alibaug,
quiet, clean and beautiful. That’s might be the reason lots of big people from
Metro cities are having their second home in Kashid. We enjoyed on the beach
for while with some water sports like water bike and banana boat rides. Had
lots of fun after the long time with all my old buddies, just reminded me of my
old days.
After sunset we headed
back to resort. Resort was equipped with good spa, Vaibhav and Vivek decided to
give it try, rest of us just stay back in cottage and chatted for quite long
time. After hour we decided to go to restaurant for dinner but decided have it
on cottage, so ordered it on room service. We arranged all tables and chairs in
balcony of cottage. Had wonderful time on dinner with drinks, chat, and
moonlight. After few hours we went to bed as we have to leave early on our
journey back home in morning.
Kashid was wonderful
experience and Prakruti resort id finest resort I have seen. It is very good
for fanily and friends who want spend some relaxing time in quiet, beautiful
place.
